CONNECT ACADEMY

What AGES are available for Connect ACADEMY?

Currently, Connect Classes are available for Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade. We are currently exploring options to provide a full Pre-K through 12th grade experience for the 2022-2023 school year.

What days ARE Connect ACADEMY OPEN?

Classes meet on Tuesdays,  Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am-3:30 pm each week. Our Pre-Kindergarten class also has a half-day option that meets from 8:30 am-1:30 pm. All students are given assignments to complete at home on Mondays and Fridays to round out a five day school week.

What time is drop off ?

Classes start at 8:30, but if needed, parents may drop their child off as early as 8:00am. All students will start the day with prayer and pledges.

IS Connect ACADEMY A LICENSED DAYCARE?

Connect Classes are a resource for homeschool families and is not accredited. In this model, parents are in charge of their child’s education with the support of our team of professional educators. Families are responsible for keeping up with their child’s education and maintaining their student's transcripts.

What is my responsibility as a parent?

Students will accomplish three days of learning in class, but parents will be responsible for education on two other days per week. Educators will provide assignments to complete at home and parents will serve as a facilitator to ensure that their student is completing assigned work. For the primary grade levels of Kindergarten through 3rd grade, the time spent on at home days will be minimal. As students progress into 4th-6th grade, the workload on the at home days will increase to prepare them for middle school and high school.

DoES Connect ACADEMY offer financial assistance or accept School Choice Vouchers?

Connect Classes are a private program offering homeschool classes to families, so we do not accept any state or federal funding and subsequently, do not qualify for vouchers. We do want to make every effort we can to support your family, so there are some options available to make tuition more affordable.

- Tuition may be paid in convenient monthly payment plans.
- A limited number of tuition sponsorships may be available because of the generosity of the members of ITOWN Church.

If you are interested in Connect Classes, and in need of financial assistance, please complete the interest form, and send an email to our team: classes@connectfamilies.com.

If you would like to sponsor a child for Connect Classes, send us an email at classes@connectfamilies.com and our team will reach out with more information. Thanks for your generosity!

What if we decide to withdrawal from Connect ACADEMY in the middle of the school year?

Enrollment in Connect Classes is a commitment for the entire school year. Parents are given the option to pay monthly or for the year, but our program plans our annual budget based on student enrollment. For more details on our withdrawal policies, please refer to the Financial Agreement.

Can students attend Connect ACADEMY if they have anxiety, a learning disability or have received accommodations (i.e. IEP or 504) from another school?

While under certain circumstances, Connect Classes can be a good fit for students with learning challenges, generally we are not equipped nor are educators and staff specifically trained in this area. In addition, students must be able to conduct themselves in the classroom without being a disruption and must also be able to complete the work outlined in each course description.

What if my student has a medical condition that may cause extended absences?

Connect Classes provide for significant more flexibility than a traditional public or private school, and may be a great fit for your student. Obviously, attending classes in person is significantly advantageous for students to master the concepts taught during school days, so we would encourage in-person attendance as much as possible. If students have days they will miss, we do ask that families notify educators in advance and work to make arrangements for completing assignments at home. It is ultimately the parents responsibility to ensure that their student is caught up on assignments and is keeping up with the class content.

IS Connect ACADEMY affiliated with ITOWN Church?

Connect Classes are an extension of ITOWN Church, but classes and programs are facilitated by a separate ministry staff.

What if we do not have our children immunized?

Immunization records are not mandatory.

Is my enrollment fee refundable if we change our minds before MY CHILD STARTS?

No, the enrollment fee is non-refundable.
